Duties
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.
- Supervise and provide guidance to Physical Therapist Assistants, ensuring adherence to treatment plans and quality standards
- Implement therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and home care strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical standards.
- Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and techniques.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote health and wellness.
Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Experience in home community care, pediatrics, orthopedics, or outpatient settings is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and therapy team members.
- Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and techniques, including inpatient care approaches.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in the field of physical therapy.
