Primary Responsibilities:
- Treats patient to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maximize mobility, gait, strength and range of motion
- Directs and aids patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training
- Utilizes physical agents, as appropriate
- Observes and reports to the physical therapist and Agency personnel the patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in patient's condition
- Instructs patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes and prosthetic or orthotic devices
- Maintains necessary records; clinical notes and conference notes, which will be incorporated into the patient's clinical record in prescribed time frames
- Participates in Agency home care team members meetings and Agency in-service education program
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Maintains clinical competency in physical therapy assistant practice and theory

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with either an Associate's degree in science or applied science that is approved by American Physical Therapy Association, Inc.
- Active unrestricted State of Nevada license or certificate to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of current Physical Therapy Assistant professional standards of care, and state and federal regulations
- Valid Nevada driver license with automobile that is in good working order and maintain personal auto insurance coverage in accordance with organization requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with an electronic medical record application
- Complies with accepted professional standards and practices
- Basic PC skills to include Window, Outlook and Other email systems
- Ability to prioritize and communicate objectives clearly
- Demonstrated excellent observation, verbal and written communication and organization skills
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The hourly pay for this role will range from $23.41 to $41.83 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable
