Vice President of External Health Services & President of Senior Options
Deffet Group, Inc. is pleased to have been retained by Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay (WCCB) to conduct an executive search for a Vice President of External Health Services & President of Senior Options for its home health, home care and hospice services.
Reporting to the President and CEO of WCCB, the VP & President has the opportunity to improve lives across the nation by enhancing the health, joy, and wellbeing of older adults. They will lead, direct, and coordinate the strategic activities of Senior Options and Westminster-Canterbury at Home (WCAH) in collaboration with the President & CEO of WCCB and board members.
Based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, WCCB is a faith based not-for-profit Life Plan Community and the parent company to Senior Options and WCAH. As a subsidiary of WCCB, Senior Options assists not-for-profit senior living organizations/LeadingAge members seeking to add or enhance home and community-based services. Currently partnering with a network located throughout six states to successfully operate home care, home health, and hospice, Senior Options assists in navigating the complexities of these services through its depth of knowledge. WCAH is a highly respected agency offering home health, home care, hospice, and pre-habilitative services throughout the Hampton Road region. A subsidiary of WCCB, the organization has 120 full-time employees currently serving 110 hospice clients, 160 home health clients, and 50 private pay clients.
The successful candidate for this position will have a bachelor’s degree in health related or management field (master’s preferred) and ideally, a minimum of five to ten years of experience in home health and/or hospice leadership. Significant experience in multi-site operations is strongly preferred and familiarity with the CCRC/LPC environment highly desired. Our finalist will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, be an accomplished speaker/presenter, and thrive on both internal and external relationship-building. Previous consulting experience also highly beneficial.
