Westfield, NJ | Full-Time | $104,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonus Up to 15% of Base Salary + Signing Bonus of $5,000

BrightStar Care of Westfield & Summit is seeking an experienced, motivated, and entrepreneurial-minded Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical home care team and help expand our skilled nursing and wellness services throughout Union County and surrounding areas.

What You’ll Do:
Clinical Leadership
- Oversee all personal care, skilled nursing services and clinical operations
- Maintain a hands-on clinical leadership presence by assisting with patient visits and field support as needed
- Conduct assessments, supervisory visits, and clinical reviews
- Support complex cases including wound care and infusion therapy
- Ensure compliance with New Jersey Board of Nursing, Division of Consumer Affairs, NJ home care regulations, Joint Commission standards, and BrightStar Care policies and procedures
- Lead clinical audits, documentation reviews, and survey preparedness activities
- Maintain high standards for patient outcomes and documentation
Team Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and supervise CHHAs, LPNs and RN and clinical staff
- Oversee the overall clinical operation, coordination of care, documentation standards, compliance, scheduling oversight, and interdisciplinary communication
- Lead in-services, training, and clinical development
- Foster a positive, supportive clinical culture
Growth & Business Development
- Help grow our skilled nursing and wellness service revenue streams
- Build referral relationships with physicians, hospitals, rehab facilities, discharge planners, Veteran Affairs and BrightStar Care National Accounts
- Collaborate with ownership on the development and expansion of skilled nursing and wellness services

- Base salary $104,000
- Signing bonus $5,000 -one half in 90 days, one half in twelve months
- Performance bonus up to 15% of based salary

Requirements
- Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
- BSN required (MSN preferred)
- 3+ years of leadership experience in home care, home health, or post-acute care
- Experience with wound care, infusion therapy, or complex skilled nursing preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of NJ home care regulations and compliance
